These cattle have played an important role in establishing the Blasta Mhor fold and are being made available as we transition towards the next phase of the program, incorporating imported Scottish genetics, embryo transfer, and the retention of selected breeding females.

Every animal has been professionally managed, with recorded health treatments and known breeding. Whether establishing a Highland fold or expanding an existing herd, this offering provides access to cattle bred with the same disciplined approach that underpins the wider Blasta Mhor program.

MEET DUNCAN RIABHACH OF SEA CREST, GLENQUARRY STOCK BULL

Duncan Riabhach of Sea Crest is the sire of three animals in this offering and was selected as the foundation sire of the Australian Blasta Mhor breeding program.

Duncan was selected for his traditional Highland character, structural correctness, quiet temperament and ability to leave consistent progeny. His offspring have provided the foundation from which the Australian Blasta Mhor breeding program has been established.

While Blasta Mhor’s long-term focus has now shifted towards imported Scottish genetics, embryo transfer and retained maternal families, Duncan’s progeny remain an important part of the Australian program and represent the foundation from which the next generation will be developed.

Duncan’s progeny have already demonstrated their quality in the show ring, achieving multiple placings at the 2026 Highland Cattle Show across both Blasta Mhor-owned cattle and animals bred from the program:
